You can get a fence charger that puts out 1000 volts for under 100.00. You have to run the hot wire inside your fence, at the top. I used a couple of these on security systems. They are nasty, but definitely not lethal. Tested one on my wife once. She was quite mad at me, but I needed to know how an expecting person would react. I was satisfied, she was not.

This is very true. When I am the passenger in a car that is being tailgated, I will pull out my phone and start taking pictures of the tailgater. 99% of the time they back off.

Downshift.

For those saying I should look at it from his point of view and make concessions I dont think you understand. Basically Tiff or myself are always home, if we are not home the dogs are not out period. If we are home we are normally on their butts the second they bark and if they do it a second time they come back inside. If they are barking they have a reason like someone being on their fense or another dog or cat approaching the yard.

I am going to start documenting everything and I should have taken a pic of the nut climbing the fence. I actually do have a hotwire on the bottom side of the fence to keep the dogs off the fence or keep them from trying to go under the fence.

I don't know how your state laws work. Some say you need to have the sheriff serve with a trespassing warrant stating they cannot trespass. In my state you simply have to tell them they are unwelcome. No response, let the police do their job.

Ask other situations, document and call there police. He will become a problem for the police too.

If you have a hot wire, you need a sign up for liability issues.

And I agree with poop, because if that were me, id come out with a gun.

Wife and dogs outside and a fence in between me and the other guy with the gun? No, I don't think I'd escalate that situation any further. The cops can make dude miserable enough. Our last problem neighbors finally got fed up and moved after multiple neighbors called the cops multiple times (Kids were out of berkeleying control - destroying property, mom and dad let the 13 year old drive. Yeah. Like that.)

I'd have already called the cops, but I always have my gun on me. Not like I'd be drawing down on him in a tactical approach.

But, yes. I hear "What sounds like a .22," if be sure to grab the piece on the way out.

Especially if you happen to own a diesel Golf like I did. Tailgating lasted a very brief period of time. Grab 4th - deposit large cloud of diesel smoke - tailgater moves on or back.
