Mrs z31maniac accidentally spilled a bit of vino on the carpet last night, best suggestions for getting it out?

Otherwise, I told her to wait for a carpet sale and we can redo the house.

There's an enzyme based spray stuff that professional carpet cleaners use. Don't know the name, but I've seen it work and it's like magic. That might do it.

Spill wine over the remaining carpet to match the rest?

Take out your knife and cut out the stained portion of the carpet. Replace stained portion with a new piece of carpet that never matches the nap or color and so it's a pain in your neck until you finally buy new carpet.

Or at least that's how I did it.

I scoured YouTube for a video of Michael McIntyre's bit on getting red wine stains out with white wine but came up empty. It is in his live and laughing stand up.

It's not that complicated, Don't put the red wine in the carpet in the first place

Easy. Find a nice vino approximately the same shade as you carpet and spill away.

Man. Same here. Come to think of it, I may have enough unuseable magic Dorito bits left...

You could burn a tire in that area, I would think an RC tire would suffice, if not a used mower tire would do the job.

OK on the serious side I have had good luck getting various stains out with water.

Get a good amount of water and pour on the stain. Let it sit for a minute then cover it with clean towels. Get out the Iron and run it over top of the towel. As the water turns to steam it pulls the water up through the towel along with the stain.

No experience with wine but has worked on grape juice.

with the cut out method its common for the pros to cut a section out of a closet if it has the same carpet... a good tech can do an amazing repair job... sadly most people in the industry are hacks lol.
