That's an impressive storm surge
I just got home from checking out a building I have in St Pete Bch. This storm doesn't have the impressive wind numbers but this storm surge with high tide brought the water the closest it has been in the 20 years I've owned the building. Another 6" and it would have made it to the slab height. The slab is 5.5ft above sea level.

One of the good things about being inland (kinda, Riverview.) No concerns about that at all.
Usually when a storm comes by I see all kinds of footage showing downtown Tampa and Bayshore Blvd under water and the barrier islands don't even get water over the seawall. This is a strange one. Pretty much the worst case scenario for the Bay area for flooding, just glad it wasn't stronger.
I woke several times during the night unimpressed with what I heard outside. Looking out there's wind and some rain. I'm off to work in 10 minutes.

Ditto.
You know guys, this might just be the most GRM hurricane ever; if you follow its path, this thing looks like it is running the cones.
I'm in south Riverview and I didn't see a whole lot of damage. No flooding in my immediate area. The lights flickered a couple of times but I don't think I lost power.
It looks like we got pretty lucky.
