I've made it in twice, never for anything I thought might have been worthy, not that I think any of what I say is ever worthy, more so... when I saw it in the magazine I was simultaneously surprised, honored, and thought, "of all I've said, they picked that?"
No real world people, significant others or friends have been too impressed, when I say "Hey, I'm quoted in a prestigious automotive magazine," and then showed them where and for what. I should probably just say, "Hey, I'm quoted in a prestigious automotive magazine," and leave it at that.

Yep. I somehow made the cut once. But it was definitely a quote, where, when I showed it to my wife, she was like, WHAT?
Not my finest moment.

I just saw that today. The new car will have better brakes than the old car, I promise!

Mine was about Andy Dick or Kathy Griffin being the other person in “drag”
Not tooting my horn, but I got quoted twice in the same issue. I'm not sure that anyone else can claim that, so I got that going for me.
I don't think I've made it in there. But I don't post as frequently as I used to. That's probably going to change soon.

Maybe you haven't been married long enough. I don't think there's anything that has left my mouth or fingers in the last 5 years that would shock or surprise her.
