Bottom right, and dead center. Dead center is a 500Gb drive that I'd also like to replace.
Anyone got a link to a 1TB drive?

I think I see what you're talking about. I think there may be both there?
Should have posted these to start

As known, I'm a touch dense (or maybe just touched ). So, a serious question.
Was that sarcasm, or implying that today there really is considered to be a difference?
I've been building desktop systems since the mid-1990's and I enjoy the relative ease with which one can install and connect various components. While I have been inside a laptop or two, I find it very much to be avoided since everything is interlocked and there is not so much as a spare millimeter of space to be found. Kind of like working on an inline 6 engine in an old pickup vs. a transverse mounted V-6 in a modern sedan.
Grumpy old man out! Carry on with your little laptops!
Actually, my bad - on closer inspection of the bigger photos I think you're right and the connector is mSata. The "divider" on an M.2 drive is much closer to the right of the slot.
Guess I should've asked how old the laptop is as that would also be a strong indicator of the connection type.

That one is indeed a mSATA (https://www.ebay.com/p/600988267).
I think that machine has two Mata connections, just stacked on top of each other.
Unfortunately, I don't think that there's many 1Tb drives out there in that form factor: https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?N=100011693%20600095832%20600414920
Can you get two of the 500Gb and run 'em in RAID?
A quick search of the model number yields this:
