Many of you here know of my disdain for Utes. They are ugly and not practical enough to off-set the social price of driving one.
But I want a Rampage. There! I said it! Be gentle.

The rampage and the little vw trucklet are just awesome cars. Thats what I want when I say I want a small truck. I don't really want a small truck so much as a small car with a huge open trunk.

The first step taken to the darkside is always a babystep
Saw one of those the other day on the way home from work. Hadn't ever seen one before. Made me laugh, but... I think I'd drive one and like it...

I knew you would come round one day,
Also I didn't know there was a social price to pay for one. Maybe I have been in the South too long.
My dad "officially" informed me that he purchased a project 1966 Ford Falcon Ranchero or Falconchero for short...... And now it is my job as cheif part getter in the internet edge to procure parts of of nowhere.... Shoot me!
Ahhh, thanks Aussie. Me likes the picture. and 93EX, don't think I'm coming around one day. I liken this to George Castanza saying "it moved". It may be a fact, but it doesn't prove anything hahaha.
and 92Celica, that first picture made me giggle like a school girl....and I think "it" moved.
Shelby Rampage has always seemed like a heck of a good little trucklet.
Years ago I had a work Rampage at the job. Loved that little thing. It carried far more than is should, and worked superbly as a trucklet. Sad day to me when they got rid of it in favor of a clapped out Silverado.
Had a friend with a Shelby. The idea of Shelbyizing the Rampage used to put stars in my eyes. Kinda still does.
If I were to find a cheap Rampage in good shape, I might go ahead and get it.

That I don't have $1200 to spend?
Holy cow man, that's a sweet deal!
....trying....to....resist.....must......not......buy......another.....car...
I must confess deep in my heart of hearts that I too have had unclean thoughts of possessing one of these vehicles. It helps me not that there is a nice clean example at a house that I pass with some regularity.

C'mon Doc, it's in Michigan and who can resist the Whore House waiting room interior?

Wow, didn't know Rampages were so cheap. Those look pretty darn nice actually. C'mon Doc, do it! Put some BRAT-style jump seats in back too - you know, for kids!

The first picture makes it look maniacal... i love it.
I hate this thread, because now i'm trying to justify how much sense it would make for me to get one and then turbo it.
I had one. Even with a header and a carb and less weight, they are as awesome as you think.
I put Daytona power leather seats in mine. Very comfy and able to hold you in place.
The only real drawback? The doors like to sag and the hinges are not replaceable (need to be drilled on the vehicle for bushings and/or cut and re-welded) and the frame-less windows are hard to find replacement seals for.
On mine, the body putty that seals the cab to the front and rear firewalls failed and leaked like a sieve.
The rear suspension uses a height-based adjustable proportioning valve. So beware when lowering the rear end that you'll need to adjust it to compensate. Also you have to have weight on the rear axle to bleed the rear brakes.
Leaf spring rear end with a straight axle. Rated for 1000lbs in the bed. Bolt on rear discs if you'd like (I kept the drums on mine, but moved to 5-lug suspension) From the rear of the doors forward, they are a 2-door Charger/L-body (except the door windows), so everything applies across the board.
There was a Factory-built Shelby Charger style Rampage, based off the last couple hundred Rampage' off the line. Basically a SC nose with extended side skirts and a few other SC touches, but no performance options added.
