Peter O'Toole: he's best known for 'Lawrence of Arabia' but the movie which really let him show his abilities (at least IMHO) is 'The Ruling Class'. Veddy British in its subject matter but funny and engrossing nonetheless. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0069198/

Mine must be, too. Those are 3 of my favorite movies. They might all be top 10 for me, acually.

The only Quentin Tarentino movie I could stand to watch for the full length is Inglourious Basterds. I assume that there must be some relationship with hallucinogenic drugs, in that his usage and mine are significantly different. Perhaps his age has resulted in a reduction in use and resulted in the film being more tolerable to more normal folk? Otherwise my insanity is far different and incompatible with his...

Never seen any of the Indiana Jones movies and I'm 36.

They just look awful in the trailers.

I want to remember Harrison Ford as Han Solo.

I hadn't even heard of the Fifth Element until I saw it playing on a computer at some HAMfest or computer show. One of the scenes in New York.

It wasnt' so much "the CGI" so much as it was the detail and colors. Yeah, lame, but everything was so vivid and bright and interesting. People don't do movies like that anymore, or at least Hollywood doesn't.

I have not seen Tora! Tora! Tora, Midway, or The Longest Day in their entirety. Just little bits and pieces here and there. I really should do something about that.

(I have the Man With No Name box set, but it's still unopened. I saw bits of The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly on TV once.)

That is a movie that I refuse to see on principle. The way it was marketed was borderline scandalous. The merchandising tie-ins and such were aimed heavily at children. Ooh, dinosaurs, this is cool!

One of my (adult) cousins went to see it with her mom. She told me about things like, someone is running to hide from something, and find's somebody's arm around a corner, only to find that it's just an arm. Basically a total child nightmare - running for help and the help is not only not there for you, the thing you are running from has already taken it out.

She said several kids ran crying from the theater.

I won't pay money to see it, I won't stream it for free legally or otherwise, I just want nothing to do with it.

Harrison Ford is far and away better and more memorable as Indiana Jones than Hans Solo.

Wow, I'm not trying to antagonize anyone, but anybody who thought that Jurassic Park would be anything like Barney should have known better. The book had been a best seller for several years, and Chrichton is not known for his kid-friendly story lines.

On the Indiana Jones movies, see the odd-numbered ones and skip the even numbers.

I saw a couple moms bring little kids to "9".

Yes, the main characters are all patchwork dolls. Dolls made from the soul of a dead scientist as a way of trying to preserve life after a major war has left the surface of the planet scorched, broken, and littered with the dead. And then the dolls also die.

I guess it's just proof that people don't bother to pay attention.

"Um, Die Hard isn't a Christmas movie." "I know. I read the box. Also, it's rated R and it is called Die Hard."

I'm surprised that only one Mel Brooks movie has been mentioned so far. I kind of wish that he would make one more before he goes.

Idiocracy: its not a great movie, but every day I'm more of convinced that its a prophecy. Everyone should see it at least once.

I really enjoyed Peter Jackson's King Kong. Its a bit long, but very well made, and the details are mind boggling.

Most of the Clint Eastwood Westerns are worth seeing, even the more recent ones. Speaking of more recent Westerns, the remake of True Grit was good too.

I'm also surprised that no Tim Burton movies have been mentioned. Mars Attacks is a favorite guilty pleasure, and Edward Scissorhands is a fantastic piece of odd ball cinema.

I have only seen the original Star Wars movies, and I don't think I've seen any super hero movies. I don't get to watch many movies and the ones I do are usually comedies or old war movies.

Most of the movies I've watched were ones we rented or were on basic cable when I was a kid so if it came out after about 1986 there is a good chance I missed it.
