I have seen a lot of hate spewed in recent days about a man who is a constant winner and overachiever, and that's what the people who support him like about him. Yes, he's been caught in some lies and maybe twisted the truth a little but he's still out there proving his haters wrong time after time! Some people are just jealous of someone who is successful and has money. Throw in a hot foreign model at his side and they hate even more. You may not have wanted him in his role, but he's there now and there's nothing you can do about it. I know its just going to get worse over the next several days, but like it or not, Tom Brady is in the Super Bowl.
Ugh I've seen this so many times today, lol.
dang, and I thought it was Beiber.

Hell yeah.
Like it or not, Brady is the GOAT.
It's good for a chuckle, he's laughing cause he knows it, you're laughing cause you know it, everyone is laughing cause they know it.
I was hanging out with some buddies over the weekend, a half dozen guys farting around in the garage, drinking a few beers. We talked about motorcycles at length, onto Jeeps, then rally cars, then sprint cars, and then Group C Prototypes. Things wrapped back around to bikes, and my buddy looked a bit panicked, asking, "Wait! Is the bike show this weekend?" I said, no, that's the Super Bowl, the motorcycle show is next weekend.
We puzzled for a while over who was playing, a couple of us knew it was the Patriots and someone, and we all wondered, is it East vs. West, or is this maybe the sportsball with two leagues? My friend smiled and remarked that we were in rare company when dudes can chat about all things motorized, but not football. YMMV.

I can't hate Brady. He's really good at hand egg. I'd prefer if the Falcons win, personally...but that really comes down to liking their logo better at this point. At least it's not dallas/green bay. berkeley those guys.
I was hoping we could talk about this guy, his wife is an Aussie.

I have a theory that the Patriots wouldn't get anywhere near as much hate if it weren't for the majority of their fans.
I have the same theory about the Pittsburgh Penguins. I run into more pens fans that already proved that one right.

At 32, this will be my first time watching it. I was raised to dislike football, but my inlaw's are very sports oriented. The hard part is that I'm a Pats fan in a giants family.

I'm from Georgia/Atlanta, so I will always have a place in my sports-fandom for Atlanta teams. That said, I just enjoy watching a good game and don't really care who wins.
I've lived in Philadelphia for the past 35+ years...
Any time I get riled up over the Patriots, I just remember them getting curb stomped by the Bears in Super Bowl 20...and I smile.
I remember before the Patriots run of success started and the Red Sox won the series, when Boston sports fans were really the plucky, benighted underdogs in all the sports. Now they've won at least one major championship in each sport in the last 10-15 years, and they're kiiiinda insufferable.
Go Matty Ice! (Wait. Boston College. Guess we're damned if we do, damned if don't here.)
I had a funny conversation with some of my clients a couple days ago, these guys are "we bleed GREEN" Eagles fans. The question was: what would you do if the only two football teams left on Earth where the Cowboys and the Patriots? The answers wearing even split between I don't want to live on this planet anymore and go Cowboys!
Yes, the Patriots are vile enough to make Philly people want to root for the Cowboys.
Go Falcons.?
I'm not sure I care enough about this that I'll bother to watch it if I have anything interesting to do otherwise.
I do expect the Falcons utter lack of a defense of any sort to make for a disappoint day for them. So maybe I'll put some money on it to give myself a reason to pay attention. I wouldn't want to disappoint all those advertisers paying big money for me to see their commercials.
Patriots by 10. Take the under.

As someone who used to follow professional cycling with a fervor, I've spent my berkeleys on lying, cheating shiny happy people. Yes, I'm looking at you Lance Armstrong.

I didn't even know who was in the Superbowl until day before yesterday and I live in Houston. The only sports I watch are auto racing and ski racing. I'm left out of a lot of Monday morning water cooler conversations....
We always have a superbowl party at our house, since we got our house in 2001. It's a great excuse to hang out with friends, eat and drink and have fun. My teams (Ravens, Seahawks) have won a few times in that time frame, and my wife's team (Patriots) has won a few times. There have been times when watching football at our house has been a house divided, lol, but it's all in good fun. My wife has been a Pats fan her whole life, so long before they started really winning. She's looking forward to another win this weekend...
I like car racing and talking cars, but I've found I can do that AND watch football and baseball and enjoy them. One doesn't have to preclude the other.
Don't watch the Puppy Bowl, you'll end up driving one home.
I used to think that, but I refuse to drive one without a manual transmission.

What about the penguins? We're a loyal group of fans, and unless you're a Flyers fan or from Filthadelphia, most of us couldn't care less.
Steelers fans are berkeleying nuts though, and world wide. As much as I don't care about football when I'm not betting on it, it still sucks to see such ridiculous cheating bastards make it back again. Maybe someone in Houston will pull a fire alarm in the middle of the night, see how they like it.
