Why are the ketchup package sizes so damn small?
I get that they’re trying to minimize how much ketchup we’re consuming but have any of these food packaging geniuses ever even eked out a C in basic geometry??? If they doubled the exterior dimensions, they’d use four times as much packaging but they’d contain eight times as much ketchup…that’s a 100% improvement in the ketchup to packaging ratio.
Additionally, the packaging is both more expensive and less environmentally friendly per unit volume than the ketchup so the portion sizes should be skewed in favor on minimizing the amount of packaging used.
It would be interesting to characterize the relationship between package size and the number of packages used to determine the minimum portion size you could get away with before a significant percent of people use more than one package.
Oh, and to answer the OP’s question…neither:
Why would you put the milk in first?
How are you going to know when the milk/cereal ratio is correct.
Cereal, then milk until it just starts to float the cereal.

On the side. I'm not a fan of messy finger-foods.
In germany they are eaten with mayo. Pretty tasty
You almost can't go wrong with fries. They are the Miata of sides. To the above suggestions, I'll add Animal Style at In-N-Out.
Malt vinegar goes on the fries, anything else (ketchup, mayo etc.) is on the side.
Next to them. And sometimes I put pepper on them.
Someone mentioned pepper in the ketchup. I have a friend who does that with salt AND pepper in the ketchup. The resulting creation looks nasty but tastes good on fast food fries.
Getting even more controversial. Of the fast food places, who has the best fries?

Pains me to say it. But I think McDonalds is still the king.
Steak and Shake have the worst fries though.

Agreed. They are infuriating!!!
Rally's/Checker's has best fries.
In reply to BlueInGreen44:
Rally's dipped in a banana milkshake

Ketchup? I prefer mustard.
And it's next to them. That way I can keep my fingers clean and get as much mustard as I want on each one.

I thought you would have known better than to stir up this bunch of enablers. Now look what's happening.

Don't apologize to me, I'm not a Mod. But you better be polite when mom comes to have a little talk with you.
Best fries? Penn Station, hands down.
Worst - Arby's curly fries/Steak N Shake at a dead heat. Arby's - because they are gross. Steak N Shake - I'm not a squirrel, I don't want to spend half my life nibbling on tiny bits of food.
S&S gets decent if you resign yourself to looking like a caveman shoving fistfuls of them in your mouth at once with a little salt and pepper.
You need to eat them quick because it takes them only about 3.27 seconds to get stone cold. Getting fistfuls in your mouth is good too because at that point, the crisp/crunch to soft ratio becomes quite favorable in a way you can't really find at other fast food joints.
Those plastic coated potato like sticks that Burger King started selling 10 or 12 years ago are the most unfoodlike product ever fabricate. "Crispy". berkeley you.
Ketchup goes either way. Makes no particular difference.

So true. You'd think they could do better.
I was influenced by a friend that lived in Utah. FRY SAUCE BABY!!
For me, I think Wendy's has the worst fries. Natural cut with sea salt? In theory it sounds great but the execution always ends up being soggy, over salted nastiness.
I really like the Cajun fries at Five Guys. Some malted vinegar mixed in with ketchup on the side please. And lots of napkins!
Re: gravy fries. You don't know comfort til you go to Nectar's when the bars let out and you get yourself a warm heaping pile of gravy fries in a take out container. Keeps your hands and your body warm for the walk home. Plus you really need to focus walking home a little drunk.
