I am just saying LOL
in the same boat as you. Just got my new pit bike as well as coilovers i need to put in my hooptie, but stuck behind this desk!
You could have been working with me today. A lube oil pipe on a compressor broke. Think 100 gallons of oil at 80psi and you can imagine the mess I had to clean up.
I want to toss a bunch of junk out of the shed at Casa Mofo so I can put a super secret engine on the stand and build me some POWARRR!
On the road...again. I'll be out till Tuesday. So, even when I'm done fir the day (like now) I can't get any work done. Its very frustrating.
That's the great thing about having been laid off... I get to say "Neener, neener, neener" to everyone stuck inside on a gorgeous day like today. I went for a long bike ride, washed and waxed my car, gonna go to the gym.... then maybe do a bit of work tonight.

Shouldn't you be doing some worrying and possibly looking for a job?
I like being in my office. Most of the time, work is fun. My commute is 15'. Clothing optional. Home office, no complaints. You should try it.

I had to read this twice. Clothing optinal, I see now.
Know what you mean about not wanting to be in the office. My whole office has had that attitude all week. All the bosses are out of town attending a convention leaving all of us behind. Nice weather here. All that leaves us with a feeling of not wanting to be cooped up in the office. Of course we wouldn't take advantage of the situation.......would we?
I didn't want to be in the office during this recession, so when they offered a bunch of money to anyone who would leave, I did !! It's supposed to go up to 80 tomorrow. I think I'll put the top down on the new "office" and go for a drive.
I tookmy clipboard, bought an ice cream cone and finished my accident reports at a table in a park instead of sitting in the car. I'm sure that got someones panties in a wad and my picture will be in tomorrow's post as the next do nothing gov't worker.
I no-called/no-showed at one of my jobs yesterday, god it felt wonderful! the thought of making another $36 for 4-5 hrs didn't appeal - I still scour CL everyday looking for it's replacement, hoping the W.Puck restaurant that was high on me gets back to me, or sift through the CL for another job I liked the look of last week. tho' maybe I can get by on just two jobs? oh yeah, I did at least tell them last week that I really wasn't feeling it anymore, and didn't want to show, they didn't call me either. oh well, I'll leave them to what they have, they make plenty of money off the droncs at night.

I had to do a hose on a hydraulic press last weekend that let go. 1000 ton press that operates at 300 bar
The mess filled an 1100 L tote.
I'm not scheduled in until tomorrow, but I'm already thinking about bailing.

Thats nothing. I had to type some stuff and then I had to see what happened as a result.

soooo much fun...theres something very elemental and appealing to my manhood when youre using fire to melt metal. Not so much elemental or appealing running inventory vs demand reports and correcting P.O. discrepancies all day
