so, i added up the 5 orders ive made for the front suspension of my 93 EB bronco. i am completely removing and replacing everything that moves from the crank pulley forward. tie rod ends, ball joints, pivot bushings, axle shafts, bearings, spindles, thrust bushings, shocks, springs, everything.
i am in it $897, and i still have a few more things to buy. everything is top shelf though; MOOG, rancho, motorcraft, etc. so at least this will be the last time i do this. ever. my son can do it in 15 years when i give him this damn thing with 4 billion miles on it, but not me!
i REALLY hate fords TTB IFS dana 44, and i hate rebuilding it more, but i LOVE this truck in the snow...
also, 2612251421652279 is good for 5% till Dec 21st. you're welcome.

You know...after doing a lower ball joint on my '92 F150, I'm not nearly as intimidated by the IFS as I was before. It's more complicated than a straight axle...but rides nice. I'm becoming more of a fan.
If you are an AmazonPrime member, you can use the partnumbers off the rock auto site and check prices there. Between the free shipping (adds up quick on Rock Auto) and some decent prices on amazon, I saved pretty good money on the suspension refresh on my Mazda6.

Last weekend I did ball joints on my 07 F350. Not a fun job. Those vacuum seals for the shift on the fly 4 wheel drive are the bane of my existence.

I was trying to remember if the TTB Dana 44 was that goofy IFS and found this:
I figured you share the man's sentiment.
I'm at the same place on my dodge, spending money.
Summit was surprisingly cheaper on a lot of stuff than rock auto and they have free shipping on orders over 100.

yes, yes i do.
and as far as prices go, i found cheaper everywhere, but not MOOG, motorcraft, and timken. those were all roughly the same price. if i was willing to settle for lower grade parts, it would have been about half the price, but as i said, this is the first, last, and ONLY time i'm ever going to do a rebuild on the front of a ford truck. ever. the next time it needs done, ill be watching my (currently 2 yr old) son fight with it on 'dads' 40 yr old bronco, cursing out loud and asking why the hell did ford build it like this!!!???
oh, and bronco graveyard sucks. i made a phone order last friggin tuesday. on the shelf parts, he assured me he pulled them and they were sitting on the counter. i would have them last friday the 24th no problem! i JUST now got the charge to my account, and a shipping number in my email. if it werent for the fact that NO ONE carries the three parts i ordered from him, id call them up and raise holy hell...

I don't get it, this seems cheap.
I'm trying really hard (especially after a few high point ABV brewski's) to not go crazy ordering stuff for the BRZ.
$1000 would only cover the wheels
