My neighbours, older retired folks, are too cute for words, always going for evening strolls hand in hand. He's a spry old dude, a newfie with a twinkle in his eye and always quick with a joke. They're working outside today, he's up the ladder, she's holding it, looking up.
Her: "I see London, I see France, I see Tony's underpants"
Him: "No darlin', that's the CN Tower"
Nah, this is the CN Tower.
Touching. There may be snow on the roof, but there's still a fire in the woodstove...

I feel the same way sometimes.
I hope my wife and I get to grow old together.
Oddly enough, something like that brought my wife and I together. And it's only gotten stranger since.
My GF and I have been together for 7 years this august, and I am still very excited about the prospect of the next 70 years.
The love of my life died 22 years ago. I miss her still.
If she had lived I know we would still be together.

We have been married 19 years, are Senior Citzens, so I guess we DID grow old together. Not only still together, but 24/7 as well. Good woman.
Pretty happy with the wife after ten years. Kid #2 is on the way and I am pretty pumped about that.
10 years and you still call her "the wife"?
Cute story, but I was surprised you didn't have to explain what a "newfie" was to our American friends.
Hey I'm not new anymore! I just graduated to a "Reader".
Some day I'll be a Dork.
And one day, you might even obtain Ultradork status. Of course, by then all the cool kids will have an as of yet undetermined name.

Under Canada, not under a rock.
