I read my own words in Say what this month, super cool. Thanks GRM powers that be for selecting my humble words for the magazine.
Anyway, my quote was about my impatience for my latest fly-and-drive acquisition, a 2001 Volvo V70 T5. I've had it for a number of weeks now and let me tell you, turbo Volvo's are an absolute hoot! This one has had some minor mods done, so it's maybe a bit perkier than stock. Here's a pic:
It's a VERY comfortable car, the drive from NJ to MI went great, my back wasn't aching and it returned about 27 mpg. Anyway, enough about the boring stuff, it corners flatter than I expected, is quicker than I expected, and I think it looks great. A sleeper for sure.
And all that ( plus extra parts, tools, and snow tires) for $900 is a win in my book any day.
I'll stop blathering on and leave you with this: treat yourself to a boosted Sweede one day. You won't regret it.
There's a brick in your parking lot.
Nice brick! Quite the deal.
Note to self: Quit looking at DrBoost posts, before I end up with a brick of my own.

The Volvo rev limiter is like when my mom used to give me the stink-eye before I did something stupid
Are you going to send the ECU off to iPD? 280 HP and 320 lb-ft from 3rd to 5th (250 in 1st & 2nd) with big power under the curve sounds like an absolute hoot for $725.

Chebus, $900? How did you manage that? Nice work!
In reply to pinchvalve:
That lack of apparent droop is hilarious. How far into the body did those wheels travel under compression?

I haven't decided if I'll go IPD or another company, can't remember the name right now, but equally respected, that sells a probrammable ECU.
It already has the IPD ontercooler piping, strut tower brace, upgraded throttle body and 3" SS exhaust from the snail back.
Oh, and a modest lowering job.

It sat in the $2016 challenge classifieds for a while. Nobody jumped on it. I threw a number out there, at the seller's insistance, and he said yes.
The plan is run it in the 2017 challenge

They probably don't move up either.
Nice! We've had three 850s in my family, dad had a black 94 N/A auto wagon, and I had a green 94 5 speed N/A sedan and a red 96 turbo sedan that I got for $1. They were all great cars, the only issue was not owning all three at the same time so the proper combo of 5 speed/turbo/wagon could be created
I think I might have a pair of rear Koni shocks somewhere still, if you're interested.

My mom had one--my only complaint with it was the torque steer. That thing was fast (for a 16 year old in 2006)
