I'm really excited by the opportunity! Word is they're going to be releasing some new beers and working develop some more during the time I'll be there. That is incredibly exciting for me.

Yep. The current plan is to get a couple years under my belt for someone else while putting together a business plan and lining up things in terms of equipment and supply lines, then launch my grand scheme. I've got a sense of the big picture for the business. I need to iron out the plan for the important details that will actually make it successful and profitable.

That's really really tough to say. I think NorCal or Oregon are pretty safe bets. I'm also paying a lot of attention to the major breweries opening in North Carolina.
My business plan I think would play best in California or Oregon. Just outside of Sacramento would be nice. I enjoy it there.

Hmm. Considering the delicate nature of doing a heel & toe, I think the stout should have some kind of late-braking joke as the source of its name.
Please don't consider my comment as a condemnation of stout..I love the stuff!

I wish Florida was more of a craft brewing mecca.

I haven't had either one yet. The deal with SWMBO is that I don't buy anything other than cheap domestic swill until I find a new job.

Isn't there a law about failing to provide the basic standards of life?

The girlfriend likes it long. It stays. (Just not letting it grow long enough to be a hazard of getting caught in fast-spinning brewing/bottling/labeling equipment. I've heard horror stories. )

I wish. I've actually been avoiding the GRM Beer Tasting thread. It makes me cry.

Can't you make a deal trading quantity for quality at the same cost? Or is it not really the money that's the problem, but access to good beer as the real incentive?

I'd really rather finally find something and just go back to work.
