Basically, a couple of middle-aged German guys ride from Germany to the Himalayas, overland all the way. It's actually more entertaining and interesting than my description .
One of the points this drove home is that I need to do more travel on motorcycles again.
Drat, not available in Canada.
I was secretly hoping they were riding Royal Enfields of the same name based on the thread title....

I'll look for it, but the lack of Royal Enfields is disappointing. Pretty much the way the Himalayas should be attacked.
I have two RE's in my garage so I may have a bias.
In reply to ddavidv :
The Episode where they actually in the Himalayas has the odd RE in it . I guess they weren't shooting for YouTube stardom, although there were parts of the trip where I think they might have appreciated lighter weight bikes.
Thanks for the heads up Tim. Will be watching tonight.
Started it strictly because of this thread.
so far so good.
also terrible because now I want another motorcycle adventure of my own
The English overdub is slightly cheesy but the geology and history of Georgia and points east from there is 100% worth it. I want world peace so I can see E36 M3.
In reply to mazdeuce - Seth :
From the bits of the original soundtrack I can pick out, it's also considerably less sweary . I haven't checked if I could switch audio to German, but then again, my wife doesn't speak German and it's a show we both like.
i've watched two episodes thanks to you now. It's fantastic.
I road moto-x as a teenager...really makes me want to get a bike and travel
In reply to BoxheadTim (Forum Supporter) :
yes to lighter weight bikes, when Alain kept dumping it on the hair pin turns I was literally saying "that's because you've got 150# of crap way up hi"
I just finished "Somewhere Else Tomorrow" and this one is on my queue for next. "Somewhere Else Tomorrow" is worth the watch. Two Germans take their BMWs planning to go all the way around the world, earning their way as they go. It's a rough start, but the journey (and presentation) really transforms along the way.
and to throw another bike adventure in the mix ,
there is the Brit traveling the world on a Honda 50 step thru ,
Last I watched , he went to far north alaska and was planning to go to the tip of argentina
I will try and find the link when my mouse stops having fits !
Wow, I'm 15 minutes in and I'm blown away at the scenery and quality of this show.
