New Years Eve.
Up till 1:00 am doing the usual with the 30 other people we invited over.
New Years Day.
Up at 6:00am to clean up the mess from the previous evening.
Get cleaned up and go over to an Aunts house for dinner. Make it back home by 9:00pm. In bed at 11:00.

The phone rang at 12:03am. Get up and get dressed to go fix a Target door that won't lock. That door was 2 hours away. I made it back home at 4:30am. Then turn around and get up at 7:00 to go install two door operators that are also 2 hours away from the house.
I'm getting way too old for this crap. I feel like someone beat me with a bat.
Two words: Viral Bronchitis. Happy berkeleyin new year. Last year it was shellfish poisoning.
Son got me sick too.
But I had fun on TV. For some reason, they were showing various towns in PA where you could admire the drop of the rose, the 700 lb bologna, a giant strawberry, and other oddities. At midnight, they split the screen into 6 or 8, and you got to watch them all at the same time. Some actually dropped.

Watching a giant light bologna drop sounds surreal. I say that from the state that had a giant lit catfish drop from a crane at midnight.
Amazing what 14 hours of sleep will do for you. I actually feel human again.
If I slept 14 hours in a row, I'd need a new mattress.
