Keith "the wild banana" Tanner?
I'm so GRM my wife asks me, "did you ask GRM?" when trying to solve any of life's problems.
Also, I have an unfinished 2016 Soccer Mom Challenge 92 V8 rwd GMC Safari next to the garage. Waiting for warmer weather.
I borrowed a Sears x-cargo so I could pick up a set of 93 Vette rims in Detroit and return to Vermont with them. Through Canada.
And then got another set and boxed them up and flew them as checked baggage.
Good God almighty, I haz lolz!
I'm so GRM I:
know how to make bullets show up in a list
was at the race where PaperPaper clawed his way through tech
got to see the lake from the Mazdeuce cottage and was treated like a king
got to take the first picture of _/;-0_ and his then fiance after getting engaged
had dinner with BobOfTheFuture and talked MK1 VWs
got to watch irish44j be presented with a 1st medal in rally
got to be overshadowed by irish44j's crew chief bluej
was not fired as crew chief after missing parc expose at two rallys
have been to EvanB's (old) place
have met Knurled in person and talked MK1 VWs
have met the artist formerly know as CGLockRacer
AND
This place and the magazine and the people here are awesome!
I've met a handful of GRMers, wrenched on their cars. They've wrenched on mine. Hauled lotus parts for Tim. DD'd a challenge car and know who the anonymous victim is of the hotlink thread.
I'm so GRM that I used trumpet valve oil in my brake master cylinder to get me home when a brake hose sprung a leak.
Some of the Phi Mu Alpha brothers and I were doing a gig at a country club one Christmas in college and my foot went to the floor when we got in my 66 Bonneville to leave. Dumped in a bottle of valve oil from the trumpet player which got us about half way home. Dumped in another bottle from the trombone player which got us the rest of the way. (with prodigious use of downshifting the TH400).
Replaced all three hoses the next day, jetted out the lines with some brake cleaner and an air compressor, and bled.

A wonderfully obscure reference.
Well played.
Though, his official new name is the "unintended victim"

Mine does the same thing. Recipes, construction advice, fashion tips, pretty much everything. Even to get help with her health problems some of the best advice I got was here.
When a customer's electric wheelchair broke down I was able to get her going with junk in my bag.
Sometimes I fix things that aren't broken yet.

Yup. Happens all the time. Remember my Panna Cotta recipe thread? My date LOVED the Panna Cotta and asked how I did it.
"well, you see, there's this car forum...."
It was the exact same gal that I asked about restaurants in Baltimore for a first date. She asked how I found the obscure restaurant.
"well, you see, there's this car forum..."

No no no, it's Kyle "The Wild Banana" Tanker. Who is this Keith you speak of?
.......I bought a bugeye WRX the other day as a practical driver for days that i don't need a 1 ton diesel.
I have 14 cars and plan to cut it down to 7 by the start of summer.
... I bought a car at Harbor Freight
I put an FC RX-7 front suspension under my FB because it saved me money over replacing worn ball joints and other parts (including buying NEW struts!), and I got beefier spindles in the process. Adaptation parts included about half a foot of 1" angle iron to make the rear mount tabs, an old rear axle link to extend the steering shaft, and a pair of ZX2 strut tops to mate FC struts to FB chassis.
Later, I made front struts out of parts I found at Summit's scratch and dent bin like Koni adjustable inserts and 14" springs, and two pairs of donated dead Impreza rear struts.
I'm so GRM..
I'm too cheap to buy a pickup, t-tops are great loading bays.
Rode in the back of Aussiemg's 996tt...with a girl on my lap.
Made "Say What" for mentioning Dragoncon
Price shopped nylok nut vs. plain nut and lock washer
Im so GRM that I remember postwhoring in the "Denny, Andy, and a clown" thread in an attempt to gain positions on the leaderboard.
I took part in the effort to get an AWD hybrid Fiero down to Gainesville.
Im aware of at least 4 "Say what" mentions by myself, one of which has to do with chirping 3rd gear in the twisties on the way home from the store, and another has to do with the snobby nature of Felines.
