I asked that question when I started with gliders, how the hell do you get out in a hurry?
Pop the canopy, click the 5 point and slam the stick left and gravity will take care of the rest.
Remember to hook your chute D ring to the plane, it will auto open after the elevator knocks you out.
The saying goes, "nose heavy planes fly poorly, tail heavy planes fly once".
60 deg of roll, 45 deg pitch is considered aerobatics by the FAA, thus requiring a chute. As a pilot I've always said the only way I'd jump out of a plane is if its on fire with one wing. Strange to see that in reality.
NBC news about to show the videos again

Also interesting how the separated wing immediately caught fire. Cessna's have the fuel in the wings just outboard the wing root, so having fuel spill is reasonable, but what set it alight? I am guessing the exhaust of the upper plane (looks like a 180)? Still pretty crazy that simple exhaust would set off vaporize fuel in high winds. Maybe a backfire from what I assume would be a prop strike?
Maybe as the wires for the wing-tip strobe got ripped out, they shorted together?
Jump school humor:
Q: If your main fails, how long do you have to open your reserve?
A: The rest of your life.
is there a link to the video that doesn't involve a 30 second NBC News commercial?

NBC has been making a point of saying it's an "NBC licensed video", so probably not. At least for a while. You'll just have to suffer for a whole 30 seconds.
