Try driving through an Ivy League campus... Or maybe it is just Cornell, they are the red head step child of the Ivy League.

And my favorite of all, as well as picked up on here "try arguing right-of-way at the pearly gates".

In reply to friedgreencorrado: Maryland is a strange place in which freedoms are frequently and systematically denied, but it's almost always illegal to record someone without consent here.

People do the same thing you described in my area and thanks to our overly litigious society, there are streets in my neighborhood that aren't even worth the hassle to drive down.

That's the crazy thing about it! I'm in 2nd gear at 2K revs. About 20mph. Every single frustrated housewife and lonely old man in my neighborhood rolls through here at 40mph in their various unloved SUVs & 25yr old Buicks, and the kids scatter like fleas on a hot brick. Only reason the kids "target" me is because the Corrado still looks pretty cool. Every once in a great while, one of the landlords will come to check up on their slums, the kids jump in front of their (insert expensive domestic or import here) as well.

There's a n exceptionally well maintained 10 year old SL500 and a newish GM TruckI along with a bunch of crap cans in my family's garage and drive way. They only target the Mercedes and the truck... and snickered at my MG when it went smoking down the street. When an adult sits on his/her stoop watching it's spawn run in front of car there's obviously something shady or at least very wrong going on

Well, that does it. Time for me to find another LBC. I loved my GT6 (1969 "Plus"). Almost got it back, but the friend of mine that was storing it for me after my divorce lost the piece of land it was sitting on.

Seriously though..the only reason I don't think it's shady is because there's a lot of meth users up here (NW fringe of Atlanta Metro), and most of the parents seem to be inside their houses when this stuff happens.
