I had to make my first iPhone post... Just bought one today! I'm pretty pumped, it was a whole lot more affordable than I thought.
Neat!

I came within one button push to getting one. But we decided to save the investment until later this year.
Although, we may now reconsider.... Not sure.
We've heard that there is a 4G version in the works, and with the current hardware that we have, we can wait.

I wonder what they have up their sleeve this time . . . (perhaps Flash Player support? )
Well, you're going to need to download a few apps. Free ones are awesome.
Get midomi for that time when you hear a song on the radio, or just want to hum it to your phone so that it can identify it.
JellyCar is most likely the best app I have or that anyone will ever create. It's updated consistently with more levels and periodic changes to make it even more fun. And the catchy theme song will probably get stuck in your head for hours. Plus, it's a car that's made of jelly, so it squishes, jiggles, and bounces about as you try to get it to the end of the level.
Enigmo is a great puzzle game with beautiful graphics that will provide hours of great entertainment.
iBeer isn't free, but it's only $1.99. Buy it. It's stupid, but fun.
What do you have for it now?
Flash support is up to Adobe more than Apple. They're apparently working on an iPhone player, but they're taking their sweet time about it. In the meantime, there's workarounds for a lot of common flash uses, particularly video and audio. As of this week, for example, our videos are now iphone-friendly. If your on a PC, you get a flash player, since it's by far the most common plugin to play audio and video. If you're on the mobile site, you get a quicktime file optimized for either wifi or cellular network, whichever you're on.

LOL!!! That's one of the reasons why we almost GOT one!! We are tiring of Sprint, since I live in a little Sprint hole.
Just like airlines- the one you have to use is bad, everything else is good. :)
(well, unless ATT has bad coverage in your area....)
But I sure understand where you are coming from.

I don't really care if the phone is free, it is too expensive for me. I have a crappy phone through work, so buying an i-phone or Storm means getting a new two year plan just for my own personal use. Around here, minimum $100 a month for a plan that allows you to actually use the features that the phone has. That's alot when my wife is already "in my circle" and all my calls are free. (I have no other friends apparently.)

Really???
With a corporate discount, I for $74/month, I could get an iPhone with data plan PLUS a second line. And that was only $10/mo off the base monthly fee and $6/mo off the data fee.
Why so expensive around you?
(oh, lest I forget, I opted for a 500min/mo family plan. Should check into that instead of the unlimted ones.)
Eric
Both the Iphone and Storm around here are cheap to procure but expect no less than $150.00 per month with taxes for any of the minimum programs in this region.
My search for a new MP3 player, combined with my aproching upgrade, has lead me to the iPhone, but I'm still trying to convince my better half, despite it only add's $30 a month to the plan.
We got the phones for 199. The service is 149 a month. Then we got 15% off of service for working for the metroparks. That 149 gets us two lines and 1400 minutes to share. So it's about 127 plus taxes.

I have the labyrinth app, a zippo app, an airhockey app, and a car game that is sort of like twisted metal.
