I kinda like it a little... I would go that wide but in a smaller diameter but...meh... I have seen a lot worse from the VW fans.
I just dont like the rabbits in general. The wheels, Im kinda neutral on. That would look muuuuch better on an R32, plus it might actually have the grunt to make em go

Well executed, a little much for me.
Hate to be the poor bastard that had to put those tires on the rims.
I don't know how practical it is, but I think it looks cool. A bit like this style of cartoons:
The lack of "I'm a numbskull" camber saves it from awfulness though.
That car is not exactly my cup of tea, but I don't actually hate it, which is a lot more than I can say of the typical cars favored by the IQvortex... I mean, VWvortex crowd.
It would work better for me if the car had any juice- The 2.5 badge indicates it all show, not much of a motor from the bit I have read. The wheels scale like early concept drawings and mules before they start coming down to earth in the development cycle.
Well... I think if the tires actually fit the rims instead of the rims wider than the tires it would be OK. Nice job on the flares though.
Those wouldn't be my wheels of choice and I'd probably go a little smaller. But I love the flares. I'd also like to see a "t" on the back of the car so you could get some use out of the extra grip.
I'll second needing smaller diameter wheels, probably by 2 inches. Get some old-schoolish wheels with a lip, throw on a front splitter and I'd rock it.
