Lots of rain here in bullettmore but not much else, a bit of a let down right now.

The fishing pier at the inlet of OC was taken out from reports out there right now.

I don't fully know what this means, but it looks cool: http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/east/eaus/flash-wv.html

(i.e. It shows water vapor reaching Green Bay and it's nice a sunny here, and the forecast is sunny for the next couple of days... )

Best wishes to everyone on the right hand side of the US that are getting hammered in some way or another. Stay dry (on the outside), heh!

Cheers. I heard we might get a dusting of snow, so I'm proactively getting drunk just in case.

cleveland far from the middle of things: it's odd to see the wind blowing east to west...

we have a tree down on the power lines, electric co coming out tomorrow morning. hopefully i can catch them and get them to leave the wood in my yard. for me.

supposedly they are talking of closing the shoreway (I-90) due to the waves from the lake breaking over the roadway and causing no visibility. i have to go that way for work tomorrow, and it blows because there really aren't any other quick ways to get where i'm going.

hopefully the east coast people won't die. the weather channel assured me that everyone near baltimore is certain to drown in 50 foot deep floodwaters.

In reply to patgizz:

When we were in Cleveland last month visiting the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, I mentioned to my wife that I wondered how the kept it from flooding. Of course, is be glad to keep some of their treasures safe until the waters subside...

Here in Frederick, MD it has been raining since yesterday evening. Have gotten 2.5 inches so far and now the wind is pretty steady at 20mph. And they say the worst is yet to come!

Not worried, we have plenty of supplies and rarely lose power. Being in the city water is not a problem either.

I was just out in the garage working on the generator and I heard and felt a crack nearby. The wife started screaming "WHOA!!!" right outside the garage. The biggest tree in my backyard fell and clobbered my neighbor's fence. It was a big pine, and it smells like Christmas in my backyard now.

It's windy here with gusts up to the mid 80mph range nearby, but it could be a lot worse,

Two hours ago I added emergency 'enhancements' to my dock pilings, as the floating dock threatened to rise above the top of the pilings and float away.

Last check before darkness - the enhancements are in play as the dock has come up another 4-5". I hope they hold.

"Rename the storm to A-Rod. Then it won't hit anything."

So far, just wind and rain in the northern Philly 'burbs, but not too bad. Should feel the brunt of it in an hour or two as it crosses NJ.

Fellow in Florida lost his garage floor and two cars fell through. Seems surf washed out the sand under the garage floor.

I am in Gaithersburg MD.

My fiance is in full panic, fill water containers, stocking up on food, and all that business.

She is annoyed with me because I poked fun at her for it.

Guess I am just laid back about it.

I figure we are on city water, had enough food to last several days, and more importantly, had just stocked up on booze.

Was off work today, just checked and I am off tomorrow as well.

So far, rain and only a bit breezy. Nothing concerning.

Just call me Slosh-along Cassidy! I had to take the Mustang into work tonight. The highway was slick and windy, but the 'Stang was stable. The roads, though - branches. Branches everywhere. Work is fluctuating between utility and generator power.

It's really, really windy here in Connecticut, but not a ton of rain. It's warm though, about 60. Lights have been flickering all day.

Long island, NY here. Gone quiet already here at 5 am. Power has been out since 6pm or so. Took a drive around at 9pm and it was beautiful, never seen the sky light up blue like that. Time after time, alot of power going into the ground i assume. Lost count of the downed wires before i even got off my block. Rumor has it pretty much anywhere south of me is flooded.

Stay safe out there.

Left the office at 2 yesterday and got home just in time for a large pine to take down the power lines. Lots of trees and limbs down. I'm not expecting to have power back tonight. No damage to the house or property.

No power, no shower - I'm casual dress for the office today.
