Like the title says. I need a famous guitar that's known by a number. Preferably electric and rock-y rather than folksy or country-y, but that doesn't matter too much. (Bass guitars or really anything is fine.)

Hmm... all I can come up with is the numerous guitars by Gibson that are know by their model numbers, but preceded by body codes: ES-335 or my L-48, for example.
Gibson 503? Maybe Dot 503, I dunno their has been a lot of beer over the dam since then. Clapton had one.

Nope. The correct name is the EDS-1275:

True... but Ibanhads are only "famous" among guitarists. To the general public, it's just a guitar... not like a Les Paul or a Stratocaster or even a Telecaster.
Well, to those of us from the 80's generation, we may not know the name "JEM777" but we recognize it. And it makes us long for a bottle of anything and a glazed donut. . . to go.
True, but anybody who doesn't know who Steve Vai is would only recognize it as "the guitar played by that guy who played with the singer from Van Halen"

I have one of these: Gibson L6-S
Most if not all Martins, but those are acoustic. D-16, D-18, D-19, D-28, OM-21, OOO-28, etc.
Thats all I have that haven't been mentioned.

Yeah, the Rick 360 is pretty iconic. My first thought after the Gibson 335
I think I'm going to use the ES 335. Its 'name' fits in well with the rest of what I'm doing, and it's got the sort of pedigree I was looking for.
...Although the EDS 1275 is pretty badass too. But I don't think it's all that common in the field.
I'm surprised no one's asked me what the heck I need this for. I was prepared to bore you all to tears with my pedantry.

The thought did cross my mind.
While Rickenbackers are somewhat well known and recognized, they are not well known by their model numbers/names (hell - I've owned a couple of them and I still have a tough time remembering the different the model numbers). Not like a ES 335, which has a better chance of being recognized by name by a non-guitar player.
The EDS 1275 is very well recognized, but not by name.
