Don't they know they should have tried mongooses first?

My thoughts go to this.
A one month old home owner decides to light a coal fire in what is probably a tear down neighborhood to rid the home of snakes who by the way like heat not cold. Yet the police decide that it's an "accident" and not insurance fraud to get a free demo plus bonus money to rebuild. Oh and to make it even better they lit the coal fire and then everyone convently left the property. Yeah I do that all the time.
Well, their home has been destroyed.
No problem. Now they can move here!
How does a one month old become a homeowner?
I love the last line.
"The status of the snakes is unknown, but as the home was left in rubble, it's assumed they no longer live there."

I'm not sure Tom Mcewen was available.

Article says they paid $1.8 Million for it, so probably not a teardown. Could still be insurance fraud but sounds more like a case of more money than brains.

And that it was 10.000 square feet! A very sprawling rural farm home with enough history that it wasn't allowed to be torn down? Or an idiot owner?

According to Webster's, Mongeese is allowed. TIL...

Sounds like he solved the no tear down problem.

I had to double-check my memory banks on what a usual house square footage is (in my world). YOWZA that's a lot of house, huh??

That makes them sound like a variety of goose. I'm glad they don't migrate through here; the regular goose poop is bad enough.
