Just switched the snows off our main family vehicle last night (I know, I know, haven't seen snow in a few months).

But I like to think I'm doing good because NORMALLY I don't get around to this task until July it seems. Also, this was the last winter on this set so I was trying to maximize the life we got out of them.

However, swapping bad tires out relieved the car of a horrible road speed related noise that I was sure was rear wheel bearings. Nope, it was bad tires. Just thought you'd like to know. Also, time to start shopping for new snow tires.

All I can say is, I'm glad I don't have to switch to snow tires in the winter.

Was it on the XJR?

This reminds me, I need to rotate my tires.

I call my snows my winter tires because of temperature needs.   My summer tires have to come off at below 40f.

LOL. My Outback was the opposite. Swore it was the E36 M3ty tires. Even the suby tech at my PPI said it was tires. Nope. Wheel bearing. After enduring 10,000 miles of noise from the back end, the comparative silence is delightful.
