The official number is: $4,093.06 which puts John Welsh as the closest without going over. Want a GRM sticker John? PM me where to mail it. I'll post a pic of the repair when I get it.

I am honored to have won.  I shall pass on the sticker.  "I've already got one."

Was there anything on the document that gave the answer to this game?

Mathematicians have noticed that people, on average, are very good guessers.

I took the average of everyone’s estimate (sans the four values that weren’t actual estimates) and got $4,299.79 which was only $206.73 (5.051%) above the actual….not too shabby given that there were only a few exterior pics taken by a cell phone to go by.

Technically, this is known as signal averaging and Hannah Fry (Ph.D. mathematician that I find very easy on the eyes BTW) demonstrated this principle during a recent TED Talk....I think it was titled "Magic Numbers".

$3999. Since $4000 was already guessed. wink

Next up for the sticker is Ian F.  I thought going $1 under was a bad strategy, but you win.  Just pm where to send it if you want the prize.
