Your Mom sounds like an amazing woman. I'm sorry for your loss.
So sorry to hear that. Mine's been gone 12 years last month, and I still talk to her. I take comfort in the fact that sometimes, just sometimes, I seem to get a little answer back.

I'm very sorry for the loss you and your family feel, but I can't help giving a small, respectful shout-out to your Mom for probably getting exactly what she wanted: fast, almost painless, someone she loved close by, and the kitchen in good order. Good for her.
my dad is 91 (birthday less than a week ago), I got a text yesterday... he got taken to the hospital... my brother was there... he was brought in for chest pains... they found he had pneumonia....
I'm happy he is ok this time... but it is just a matter of time.....

Do not take pneumonia in the elderly for granted. It isn't called the old man's friend for nothing.
I lost my mom earlier this year to cancer. After a long fight we knew the end was coming and tried to prepare ourselves.
I found out no matter what the cause or how you prepare it's never ever ever a good time to lose your mom
So sorry for your loss, be glad she led a full life
Strokes suck
Tried to rationalize the value of quality of life in a post I later deleted then bawled my berkeleying eyes out, long overdue. Mom is but a frail shell of her former self after the stroke, most times doesn't even know me, that's what hurts the most but you deal with it, still berkeleys your mind up though. Love will always be there.
