I accidentally ordered Wrangler stretchy jeans.  They are wonderful, and shockingly robust.  I figured there would be a bunch of plastic in them to melt, but they are fine at work.

Not Denim, but I made the switch to Duluth relaxed fit work pants since I started lifting.

I'm basically built like a scottish rugby player. Lots of leg power, not much leg length. Levi 559s work pretty well for me.

Weight lifter here. Seriously this is the one.

Even if I buy the correct waist size 559s fit my legs and calves. Not sure hwo they do it but its the go to stable for lifters and hockey players.

Unfortunately, those didn't work for me.

I called Duluth and they told me the thighs on the Ballrom Relaxed fit in my size are 30 3/4". Perfect. I just ordered a couple sets each of the regular and stretch to try out. Unfortunately the nearest store is 500 miles away.

An update: I tried the ballroom and double ballroom jeans from Duluth in a couple sizes. The fit is weird for me. Snug on the thigh, loose in the crotch (like material bunching about 3" below my actual crotch), kind of loose in the seat but fit my the waist. No Bueno.

I tried Mugsy jeans. They are stretchy like leggings. Still kind of bunch up just below the crotch. My wife said they look like skinny jeans. Not a good look for a soon to be 50 year old.

I'm going to try Old Navy next. I meant to try them a couple weeks ago and never made it there.

Bike riding and lifting always made jeans akward fit for me. My wife found some at old navy 4 years ago that work great and it's all I wear for jeans now, granted I wear jeans once or twice a week. They last me around 2 years a pair

I have a relatively small waist, big hips/upper thighs/butt, and skinny lower legs, so I'm a hot mess when it comes to fitting in pants. I always try on a bunch of different sizes, as sometimes I have to get a larger waist in order to get additional room in the upper thighs/butt. My best advice is to try on as many as you can. I tend to have more success with a relaxed/athletic fit.

I went to Old Navy and tried on their loose fit stretch jeans. I wound up going down one size in the waist. They fit my waist, they are a little low at the crotch but not terribly so, a little snug on the thigh. Compared to the 560's I wore anything is going to be snug on the thigh though. I think I can get used to the stretch. At $30 per pair (buy one get one 1/2 off) I'll give them a shot.
