I'd fly them every day of the week and twice on Sunday if I have to fly. Big, comfy leather seats, good leg room, DirecTV right in front of you, fun cabin staff, generally clean and newish equipment. Apart from the free drinks their regular flight experience is no different than the last time I flew on business at the last minute and "had" to buy a first class ticket on US Air.
Jet blue opinion? If it's not Jet Blue or Southwest, it probably really sucks. If it's Airtran, it's even worse.
what are you afraid of that is worth paying an extra $100?
I flew with them once or twice. I think it was from Manchester to Ft Lauderdale and Boston to Las Vegas. For what we paid for the tickets and where we were flying to, it wasn't bad. I spent more time looking out the window taking in the view than I did watching the tv's they have in the headrests.
4 guys that I began my flying career with are captains there. They are top notch pilots and they all enjoy working there. Jet Blue has a good reputation.
Jet Blue rules. Problem is they don't fly any of the routes I normally fly.
Unless you're going to be in the air a lot, it doesn't really make sense to chase the mileage plan biggies: United and Delta. If you fly a few times a year, I'd say Southwest as a second option. Continental used to be my 3rd choice. Hate Delta, American and United. I always get stuck on planes with narrow seats with no legroom. Now that Continental/United are merged, it's a crap shoot.
I fly a lot of Southwest. They are cheerful most times. Once in a while a seat is crooked or worn out but overall the saving of money helps me.
They invited my 9 year old into the cockpit last month to help fly to Florida. Although she had no clue what she was doing she did enjoy how nice they were to her. (10 bags of peanuts? no problem kid)
I fly Usairways most of the time. On each and every flight, I wish I was on Jet Blue.
Occasionally, Delta is the only option for a flight, so I will walk barefoot over broken glass instead. Less painful.

guess that pretty much covers it.
As I said to my wife on the call home the evening after the absolute worst flying experience ever - "US Airways is the new Trailways Bus. Calling it the new Greyhound would be a disservice to a fine and abused breed of dogs".
I love jetblue, used to take the flight between mco and bos all the time when I lived in orlando. I don't like delta ever since they got rid of song.
JetBlue is fantastic.
I have to say that, Im on one of the computers here in the breakroom at JFK. My bosses may be watching
No, in all seriousness you will like us, and most likely will be the next guy suggesting to others to use JetBlue.
I haven't tried JetBlue yet, but I used to fly on Song, Delta's low-cost line. I never quite understood why the 'low-cost' line offered:
Good food
Friendly attendants
Individual satellite TV
While the standard lines are more like a flying cattle drive.

Its the overhead. Cheaper-to-fly aircraft, quicker turn times, routes limited to where they can make money.
They went after Jetblue's routes. We undercut them on fares, and they lost out. JetBlue was built on the premise of low overhead, Delta couldnt keep up with that.
The cattle drive effect is due to the 'legacy carriers' (JB's term not mine) increased cost. Cant give you fancy stuff like TV's when you gotta put parts and fuel into a couple hundred 10-15+ yr old aircraft.
I have flown them twice (round trip)
Once was great, the other crap.
So I am a MEH
In the end if they get you there and it's just a 3 hour flight, I can tolerate about anything for $100 savings on three hours.
so far i am sold.. talked to the wife bout it last night.. we are going to try it out.. the only thing that would be great was if they flew out of manchester instead of boston. but usually with the money we save flying out of logan anyways, we have a car take us and pick us up....
Thats one of the drawbacks... JB doesnt fly everywhere like Airlines like Delta do. Pluses and minuses...
Over the last few years I've flown American, Delta, Southwest, COntinental and maybe one other........................can't say I could tell a difference between any of them, except the American plan that makes the Dallas/Tulsa trip is REALLY old.

I live in dc and this is often why I fly southwest. Was $104 total for me and my girl to fly one way direct from bwi to mht last sat.
I live in dc so sometimes bwi is a hassle. Then its usually dca-bos on jet blue and have someone pic me up.
Used them a bunch of times, and have been happy. Only downside for them for us, is when we fly to denver from Burlington VT, you have a long layover in nyc on the west bound flights.
And free blue potato chips
