Lo and behold live Indycar racing at Twin Ring Motegi.
Now let's see how long I can stay awake. :D
Race announcers sound like they either have jet lag or are bored... like they're only covering practice. Robin Miller wants to go to White Castle.
Not a very enteraining race. At least race control (aka TGBB) maintained consistency by making fools of themselves - again.
The announcers were commentating stateside via the live feed. Even they couldn't see much benefit in staying-up that late to watch that race. I took advantage of the beer-thoughts, too, but had no desire to go out and find a grease-bomb.
I'm so glad those guys aren't the commentators for F1. I was beginning to wonder if they were drunk. Someone kept breathing into the mic as well. That race was a snooze fest. I was excited to hear they were running the road course instead of the oval, but it turned out to be a huge let down.
How many times did we need to see the exact same replays of the start? I kept hearing about all of the passing going on, but they kept focusing on the two drivers at the front, which did absolutely nothing the entire race. Sucks they were at the mercy of the Japanese TV broadcasters. It may have been a more entertaining race if Speed were in control.
I agree on race control as well. Going to the back of the line for punting someone off and a drive through for speeding in pit lane? How about the full course caution for the simplest off? I don't know what it is about American racing that requires a full course caution when a local yellow would suffice (obviously they have the capability as show on the last lap).
