Ausgräber
aka Gabby
It means Digger in German. If he is anything like our Schauzer mix, Bella aka Bad Bella aka Bee Bee. He will dig a lot and talk a lot.
Not gonna lie, "digger" is not where my mind went with ausgraber. It sounds like something that would land you on the sex offender registry.

Our pup actually came with the name Bella. We usually call her Bee Bee. It fits when she is bouncing around with a toy. Gabi would also fit her personality. She talks, a lot!!!
As for Ausgraber, you have to say it like Arnold and giggle. It was a complete accident when I looked up the translation. Most Schauzers love to dig. Ours had a bad habit of digging out and roaming the neighborhood. We had to put in an underground fence to reign in her escape artistry.
Updated pics. We seem to be gravitating towards "Otto". My oldest insists he will refer to him as "Otto Von Bismark"
Nico.......cuz I'm watching F1
Update:
We've pretty much settled on "Otto".
We went with Posey after Sam Posey for our pibble puppy.
Ever seen the movie Super Troopers? If not, go now. I'll wait...
Now that you know the scene with the Porsche and the Germans in it listening to very loud techno. The german techno is called "Bidibodi bidibu" by Bubbles. So the obvious name is "Bidibodi". ;)
