Leave everyone else alone if you want to off your self - little kids in a school - jebus.
I was just coming here to see if anyone had heard anything on this. I've watched the news for 30 minutes and can only tell you it was in Connecticut. So much for national news outlets.
That link doesn't say much either.

About what time did this happen? I mean if it happened early this morning I'm wondering why I'm just hearing about it and the news is so spotty.
cnn.com and time.com both have updates. Looks like the news is trickling in. But yes, tragic--beyond tragic. My nephew had a hostage situation/shooting/murder at his high school. Kids aren't supposed to have to deal with that stuff.
Such a shame. Forget human rights, people that do this kind of crap need to be tortured in the must god-awful ways possible.
Jesus christ man. What the berkeley? And yeah, even better than shooting yourself: Talk to a berkeleying psychologist, take some vitamin C, visit some kids with cancer, realize your life isn't so bad after all, you dick.
This is very close to my home. There is someone here from that town. I hope he and his family are all okay.
Latest update I saw on Fox News said report of 26 dead, 18 of them children. Seems like these wack jobs are trying to outdo each other as to who can do the sickest thing possible. Not sure what the solution is. The more news coverage there is, the more this seems to be happening.
Just a very sad sad sad situation. Those poor kids, so close to Christmas vacation. For the ones that witnessed this will need counseling for a long time.
I'm gonna go home and hug my 3 year old daughter alittle tighter tonight.
The publicity from these things fuels future events like this. They all want to one-up the last guy. They know they will gain a place in history. Most of these losers don't have a chance of being noticed any other way.

This. It made me physically ill when I heard the news. Leave the berkeleying kids alone, you sick bastards.
Also: Not to totally derail, and not that I've EVER considered going on a shooting spree, but why is it always a bunch of berkeleying innocent people, and not....oh....say....rich actors/athletes who've gotten away with murder/rape/child molestation who've really got it comin'?
This makes me both sad and angry. What kind of POS would take their own selfish anger out on poor kids who have their whole lives in front of them? My heart goes out to the families of those involved.
MA$$hole is right. I wish there was a way to somehow circumvent the law for sick idiots like this and administer the most slow, painful, inhumane torture upon people that pull this crap.

I wish there was a way to bring the berkeleyer back to life for 48 or so agonizing hours. If you berkeley with my kid, you'd better berkeleying kill yourself you sick piece of E36 M3. (Not you, silverfleet )
Good news is, according to an article I just read, it looks like two guns were recovered from the seen, and one person is in questioning; i.e., the only reason more didn't die is because someone filled this worthless piece of E36 M3 fulla lead.
One thing that I heard is some of the teachers actually put themselves between the shooter and the kids to protect them and allow as many to escape as possible.
FYI the CNN Blog page is posting regular updates
It's time like these where I kind of wish they could revive the shooter just so that he could be thrown to the wolves.
My heart goes out to all the families suffering right now. My chest hurt reading about this.

Apparently we both had the same idea.

Even though I'm a Pats fan, I don't deserve to die.
Did they kill the gunman? None of the news reports I've read have read confirmed that yet.
I'm still in shock. You figure that one of the safest places to be would be in a school, especially after the Columbine shootings years ago. It's just unreal...

can the wolves be genetically engineered to have rusty nails as teeth? Seriously, it's depressing anybody would do that to children.
