I understand crowd control. I also understand that it's been observed may times that people will do things as part of a large group that they wouldn't do in small groups and that the people trying to push their way in actually pretzelized the door frame. It's going to be really difficult to find Walmart responsible for mob behavior, but I am sure there is some lawyer out there right now working on just that.
What I can't understand is the attitude of the shoppers when the management tried to close the store out of respect for the dead man and also, I assume, to allow the police to perform an investigation: 'I've been out there since Thursday morning, I ain't leaving until I buy my overpriced Chinese made shiite for my spoiled kids/grandkids to play with for 30 seconds and then throw away'.
