Sorry, L.A. isn't the same as New York: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/15/arts/television/15law.html

Someone needs to reanimate Jerry Orbach so he can bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice.

Well, at least they're apparently not planning to call the new one "L.A. Law and Order."

Living in Canada and watching TV occasionally, I think I am pretty well up to speed on crime in Los Angeles. "Law and Order," on the other hand, occasionally showed actual snow and people dressing in overcoats. I liked that.

What does it matter? It hasn't been a good show for some time.

That and they showed people properly eating pizza.

I am going to miss it. I have seen almost every episode and spin off since it started. Since it is in non stop re runs some weeks it's the only show I watch.

Always like the original but never cared for any of the spin-offs. Lenny Briscoe is 'da man.

The show that really proved with good writing you could almost continually change cast members.

I agree, sort of, that the "spin-offs" put the main series in jeopardy by putting forks into a sort of L&O overload. Yet, it's the one show my father watches faithfully.

The thing that will bother me tho, is that the character of the Lt. was FINALLY being "opened up"....and now the show is going away. Will she die or will she go into remission?
