Hello hive.

I want to incorporate a weighted jump rope into my workout routine, as I seek some benefits in strengthening my shoulder from an old clavicle injury. Weighted ropes seem to be either incredibly expensive or incredibly poorly made. I bought this

Thinking that it had two ropes, one heavy and one light for quick speed jumps. I was wrong, both cables seem to be the same, or at least roughly so. Nothing is "weighted" like I suspect it should be.

Do I DIY a heavier rope? Do I return and find something else? Am I missing something entirely?

Thanks!

I would DIY a heavier rope, if you know anyone who's into boats they may have some scraps...

Soooooooo, I always thought it was the handles that were heavier. Dunno why.

I've used this brand for years and enjoy them. Expensive but a really nice product. To be clear, I've used their speed ropes though, not their weighted ropes
