I need a shed. No time or talent to build. Nice ones of a decent size seem to go for around $1500. I've found several that are fairly new going for $300-$600 but they need to be moved. I have a friend with a car trailer or I could hire a rollback. The problem is loading. Buy round logs to roll it on while winching? How do the new pre-assembled ones arrive? Big crane? Can I hire one for a used shed and not lose the cost advantage?

Has anybody ever tried this?

Ours came from the Amish on a special flatbed trailer. The trailer had hydrolics which ran off from a small gas pump. The whole bed moved backwards and forwards, up and down, side to side on a set of dolly wheels that could be raised and lowered. No idea what you would call it, or whether they can be rented anywhere, but the operator was able to drop our shed exactly where we wanted it in the space of about 5 minutes. It was flat out impressive.

I thought about backing the Fiat into one, jacking it up and running 2x6s from one wall to the other across the hood and roof. As long as the doors stay open I should be ok. The Wife won't give me her keys or I would already have a shed.

New ones around here arrive a special built trailer that has rollers on it. I moved one in my yard from one side of the yard to the other plus spun it around. I used 1'5 inch PVC pipe as a roller system, a come along, jacks, and chains. Once it got on the pipes I'd roll it some, put the pipe that cleared the back side in front of it. Sort of like I would imagine how the Egyptians built the pyramids. Worked well. I did't try to lift it onto a trailer though but Use your floor jacks to lift it up on the deck and pull it aboard. It took some time but it was cheap..and I'm pretty cheap.

Call your local shed dealer and ask them who they use. Probably a couple of guys with the right equipment who will come do it for $200 or less.

Winch it on a roll back. Fast easy and cheap.

Helped my BIL move a 10'x20' shed about 300' in a similar manner. Only difference was he had metal pipe and we used his garden tractor for motivation.
