If you use a skill saw watch out for binding and kickback. The newer green Ryobi cordless are the sweetest setup going for the price. On a big job I would drag out a corded model as you can never have enough batteries. Also do not cheap out on the blade, one good blade will outlast many many cheap blades. Good Luck

My corded dewalt supposedly has a 7/8" stroke compared to the 3/4" stroke on the Milwaukees I inherited from my father. While in theory that should mean you get more out of your blades the difference is negligible. The real difference is that it takes zero tools and 2 seconds to change the blade on the dewalt vs. a nearly always lost Allen wrench and 2 minutes on the Milwaukees.

You need that little rubber thing that hooks the Allen to the cord.

Just a quick update. Ended up with a Bosch corded recip saw and a 9" Morse Havoc blade. Started cutting up the wood today, and I'm glad I didn't try the circular saw because the first thing I cut through had a huge bolt embedded in that I didn't see because of multiple layers of paint.
