I read in the last day or two that there is an A-Team movie that will be released soon. Since George Peppard is "not available" to play the lead, the role will be played by Liam Neeson.
I'm not an A-Team fan, but couldn't the powers-that-be have come up with a better choice?
BTW, it seems that while Dwight Schultz and Dirk Benedict will have "cameos", Mr. T isn't even in the movie. An A-Team movie without Mr. T? What were they thinking?

It goes without saying that I pity the fools.
What always struck me about the TV series was that even though they would discharge hundreds of rounds of ammo and pounds of explosives, nobody ever got killed.
Wonder if that will carry over to the ill-advised remake.
This movie reeks of suck.

Have you been hiding under a rock? It seems like they've been advertising the crap out of that thing for months now.
Not a Liam Neeson fan? Have you not seen Taken?

Nope, any good? imdb says 6.8/10. That sounds watchable.
George Peppard's got cooler hair.

So you are saying it should be better than the TV show then?

Agreed. I tried watching an episode of the original after a 20 plus year hiatus from seeing it. That show simply does not hold up. As a teenager in the 80's when it was on I loved it but watching it now is one cringe after another.
they got Qui Gon Jin to play the leader of the A Team?
Liam Neeson is the only reason I would watch the A-team movie.

I know what you mean. I grew up watching Star Trek, TGN in particular, but I'm just too jadded after Stargate.
And Liam Neeson is the only reason I might go see it.

I know it's poor cricket to quote your own post, but if you want to see true Liam (and Tim Roth) at their finest..
This movie came out about the same time as Braveheart, so nobody saw it, or even knew who Liam and Tim were.
I knew who Tim Roth was WAYYY before that

I can't imagine how bad that movie is.
mr. t was too busy playing world of warcraft to be in this movie
Didn't know Dirk and Dwight were doing cameo's. Mr T was offered the chance but refused. He felt the movie was too violent and unfit for family viewing. "People died in the movie, no one got killed in the TV show". Uhhh, ok. I grew up on that show and still like it, even if feel a bit campy now.

Actually, it's a brilliant and hilarious movie. It is a masterpiece from one of the greatest satirical playwrights of the 20th century.

Wow, that's surprising. I was all set to write the movie off as a vehicle to sell some fresh-off-the-dealer's-lot POS that nobody wants, like what "Knight Rider" did with the Mustang. I was seriously afraid they'd use an Escalade or something stupid like that.
Now as long as they don't mess up the backstory and have a suitable amount of cheeky camp, I'd actually be interested in seeing it. HINT - FILMMAKERS: having the A-Team working for the government and fighting "terrorists" IS messing up the backstory.
Serious rubber under that GMC van!
