Mikey LIKES it!

No, that was Life cereal.
Anyway, the poster in the OP couldn't be more appropriate at the moment. My wife just gave me the blessing to walk from my job. I'll show that poster to her. It's one hell of an omen.
Now to grow some cojones and do it.

Seriously there Capt. Obvious? How did you miss this one. You must be under 30 or older than 70. Possibly both if you are doing it right.
Cool story, bro!
Yeah, hating my life a bit, and there's nothing I can do right now.
Tomorrow is a new day to hate.

39 and I guess my sarcasm detector was broken.
I saw "Mikey Likes It" and thought you were saying he was on a Pop Rocks commercial. Forgot about the urban legend. Clumsy reference is clumsy.

Do it. For sure, the smartest thing I ever did was quit my last job. Get out of the rut you hate.
To the OP. Great post! Thanks for sharing.

I'm just so ball-less when it comes to just pulling the ripcord without a solid plan b.
I've been throwing around the idea of doing a small, service-based bicycle and tennis shop. Cheap rent. Done it for big companies and figure--why not do it myself?
Wife got more on board in the past week or 2--probably because I come home in a deep depression. Never owned a business, so a bit spooked by that, but I'm thinking I can do it. I dunno.
Also looking into teaching guitar. I already teach a music history class at a jr. college, so I have the "teaching" part down.
Lots of ideas--just need to execute. I'm starting to see the boss's face when I tell him to shove it.

People buy cereal on Amazon? (BTW, I am currently consuming the last of a bowl of cinnamon life for breakfast...)

This needs to be on a t-shirt... and I should be wearing it.
The OP's message was on a bunch of posters in the outdorr audience on the Today show yesterday. Was yesterday some sort of display the sign day?
Interesting to ponder some of the sayings on the poster.

People buy cereal? What are you, six?
Memento Mori.
Life moves very, very fast, and you're never going to get ahead of it. The most you can do is try and keep up.
