Anyone remember the linked thread where a guy was casing his own slide throttles and other stuff? For the life of me I can't remember what thread/car it was.

I've read about and seen many slide throttle setups during the old days of Formula 1, is there any advantage compared to a traditional butterfly setup?

At Wide open there is nothing in the way. On traditional butterflies you have the rod and plate in their disrupting flow even at Wide open.

Oh, that thread than consumed an entire afternoon of my life back when it was first posted. Thanks for bringing that around again, now I'll be late to work
