Given the price difference between used and new (not enough!), I'm shopping for a brand-new Prius now.

In Nevada, the rebate is $2000. In California, the rebate is $3000.

A one-way flight is $100.

But I can't figure out if the rebate occurs where you BUY the car, or where your residency is.

Anyone know this answer?

I'd check the regulations of both states.

Pretty sure you will find that "Residency restrictions apply" & your state of residency will determine your rebate amount.

And could you get gigged for sales taxes from both states?

The website just says "cash back varies by region". I was hoping someone here would know. I will just wait for the dealer to call back.

Living on the state line between IL and IN, I know that for cars I've looked at it's always based on your residency.
