MarketWatch Investing Game anyone?

So is the Ebola wave over? I jumped out of it right before some of the prices slipped, now there are new cases and the fear-mongering seems the same so I bought back in at a smaller amount, are the speculators just more skeptical now?

What the heck is going on with the stocks for the regular companies? Nothing makes sense right now.

And WTF is after-hours trading all about? Secret-handshake guys get to manipulate prices while us proles can't touch? I put in an order for something at about $6, it skyrocketed to $7.25-ish during "after hours", so when it bought, it bought at ~$7.25, then dropped back to about $6. I lost double-digit percentage-wise over a nebulous night-time spike

I half-assedly rode the Ebola thing up, and then shorted it back down again.

I was going to try that, but fluctuating internet connection out here made me a bit hesitant. On the plus side, on Friday most of my legit stuff was slowly clawing it's way back towards break-even (mostly... dammit Tesla).

Market rebound has got more people on the Rankings page in the green, 24 of my 26 holdings are in the green for today, 15 of 26 in the green overall! w00t. Hopefully this volatility will calm down a bit and I won't have to keep reminding myself that my year-long holdings should e v e n t u a l l y come back around (I'm looking at you, TESLA )

I've realized that Tesla spends heavily on infrastructure that will only yield short-lived, short term gains - for example, their Supercharger and battery swap stations are proprietary to their products and will make zero sense in maybe 2-5 years (when Li-ion batteries with TiO2 anodes will be common). I wonder what effect this could have on their stock prices in the future?

Not being able to check out the game during the day blows. But according to my portfolio viewer thing, I'm up .10% in the day Although I won't have any idea on if I went up or down in the rankings until I get home tonight.
