Today was a good day...
Flight is doing something right.
My crystal ball is borked right now. Not sure what to do, so I'm on the sidelines.
Dave I am doing what you taught me. I am playing the ETFs
I find the highest volume 3x leverged ETFs I can (Being an engineer, I tend to focus on tech stuff. So I do the Nasdaq. TQQQ and SQQQ are the two I use.) I read the market report before opening, around 9:15. If bad, I short, if good I long. (unless they are shorting ETFs, then reverse. I made 2% one day shorting a short ETF.) Most of it is over and done with by 11. If mediocre I sit back and watch or find a single stock to play with.
That's it
Wow. That's awesome.
While on the sidelines, I was looking at the current status of stuff that has previously done well for me. Saw a previous winner sitting at a 12 month low. Seems like a good buy, right? I'm down 2%. Grrr.
Well I'm either going to look like a damn genious or I'm gonna jump out of an imaginary building after this move. Let's see how it plays. Glad this is fake money...
I can't find anything today worth doing. I am gonna set my Starbucks and Apple stocks to sell on a bounce and just let them go.
I could short LeapFrong (LF)

7 minutes into the day...
Today's Gains 20.73%
15% if you count yesterdays tanking...
What stock are you finding with that volatility and volume?
You found the goose that laid the golden egg there, or the tin one, depending on which side of it you are on.
AXON. IPO yesterday that went from an intro price of $15 to ~$30 by close of trading. Figuring that what goes up must come down, I shorted it about 15 minutes prior to close yesterday (while it was still on the way up apparently, thus yesterdays loss). Covered it at the open to the tune of $142k profit. Took another couple bites at the apple, one was good for another 20, then the next lost me most of that. I'm back out. Still volatile, but no longer predictable.

Looks like I happened to predict where lightning was gonna hit. That's unlikely to become a trend.
yeah, just be happy about the $142k...I think you will be giving it back soon enough.

I have no idea what I am doing. I thought I had invested in a few companies and checked back today and showed no investments! Also I can't figure out how to search for companies....nothing ever loads
