That's how my calculator solves it with the SOLVE button.
I remember from my Calculus for Dummies course (AKA "Business Calculus") that there were some equations that just could not be solved, and they involved variables inside those upside down v things, whatever, and the solution was as kcmoken describes.
I have a similar HP calculator back at home. Does the same thing, hit the solve button, and figures it out. And its unfortunately specifically disallowed on the exam, and for the class, because of some of the other functions it can do. Which really pisses me off.

I still use an HP-11C as my calculator, not what I used here though.

Punch that sucker in my 20 year old HP calculator....
When I first read that I thought "wow, what an old fart." Then it occurred to me that my calculator is that old, too.* It's odd, really, I don't remember becoming an old fart.
- My office calculator is a 1986 vintage HP28S. My home calculator is a 1993 vintage HP48GX.
HP 22S. Bought it in 1988 when I started undergraduate school at Blinn. And the HP sez: n=2.32543052704. That calculator got me an A in:
Finite math
Calculus for Dummies
Freshman Chemistry
Freshman Chemistry from Hell
FINC from Hell
2x Bean Counting from Hell
and probably a dozen others. Billy, next time I'm down Houston way, I'm gonna PM you.

Tommy, here's math philosophy:
The optimist says the glass is half full.
The pessimist says the glass is half empty.
The engineer says the glass is twice as big as it should be.

The realist sees that the glass is indeed completely full.
The philosopher questions the existence of the glass.
