Golf is something that can fit almost any budget, and I'm constantly astounded at how high that budget can get.

18 holes at Kiawah Island will set you back $400+- this time of year.
The municipal course in Charleston will set you back $20 if you are a resident.
I played 9 holes of captains choice with family once. It was a fun time and I can see how it becomes habit-forming if you have a group to play with. Throw a little alcohol in the mix and who cares where the damn ball lands.
^There was a guy at a company my dad used to work for who would totally be up for that.
