Pair it with a block of Parmesan cheese, and you've just described an actual dinner I have eaten.

Today at lunch I found out my local Publix has an olive bar. I also found out that the cashiers don't know how to price it and give it to you for $2/lb less than the sign.
I ate a lot of olives today

I'm no botanist, and I suppose it's possible I live in a geologically rare area, but roses are effing weeds. Sturdy, hearty little prickle pricks. Hard to kill. At least around here. And it's not exactly a tropical paradise. A few years ago a big freeze killed off 70% of the palm trees (lots of retirees, seriously our golf course count per capita is out of control) but the roses around the area didn't even blink.

Depends on the type. What I grew up to were wild multifloral rose bushes. They were an out of control thorn bush that literally tried to kill you. You slowed the down with bushhogs and fire. Note I didn't say "kill them". They were f'n immortal.

I've shared this meme with a few people, and there are exactly TWO responses to it:
1) Ugh, that's disgusting.
2) I have totally done that.
