Although it has been probably 20 years since I've worked on one, so I could be wrong. 
 

SBCs also have five head bolts around each cylinder, with a top row that gets in the way of the intake ports and a middle row that does a wonderful job of warping the E36 M3 out of the bores when the head is installed.

I don't know what that is, but I know it isn't a SBC. I seem to recall ford 302/351 filters in that location. WP pump bolts look right too, but I'm not so good at ford 8s.
