I don't care is the thing. I live where I can grow food in the soil and animals live. Seems sending food and money only ever gets warlords and corrupt government officials rich, and those precious celebrity photo shoots where some multimillionaire flew across the globe in their private plane to give a sickly looking kid a banana, might be time for a new strategy.

Exactly, by participating in this thread everyone is demonstrating that they're literate, has a computer, has access to the internet, and has plenty of discretionary time.
In other words, all of us has far, far more than most people in the world do...all of us are guilty of not giving nearly as much as we could.

Unless you're giving so much that your standard of living is reduced to being equal to or less than that of the average person in the world, you're being selfish.
Being able to read this is proof of being selfish.
