No, that's the issue, failing to acknowledge the frame of reference created by the communication would actually make it look like there's no causality violation. When you acknowledge them is when you can see that FTL comms would allow you to send information backwards in time between two points with a relativistically significant speed difference. See also:

One argument is warp drive wouldn't be affected by causality because by definition it warps space-time. The ship isn't moving faster than light, it's moving outside of those parameters.

I reffed a Catholic hockey team tonight (from Mundelein if you want to do the math) and commented to the goalie about his long hair and I was surprised he was allowed to have it - it apparently is much different there now than it was in the early aughts when my brother went there.
