I thought we were supposed to treat all people as equals? Or is this a case where they only get the "good" parts of equality and not the downsides?
Regardless, the screeching puppet has gotten far more attention than she deserves for doing nothing but throwing a temper tantrum in front of a global audience, somehow.
Back to the regularly scheduled memes.

I think the implication is her mom drank when pregnant with her, to the extreme that she was swimming in wine prenatal. The English is terrible, like "English as a second language" terrible. "Swedish Doom Potato" is a fairly funny description of her. Mildly political, but she made herself a public figure, so not out of bounds in my opinion. Alec Baldwin gun jokes are arguably more tasteless, and about as political, but we let them slide.
IMO Alec Bladwin doesn't have a learning disability and the jokes related to him aren't just made up (as far as I know Greta's mom didn't drink while she was pregnant but Baldwin for sure shot someone.)

My thought process:
Are you punching up? "Sweet, let's see the meme."
Are you punching down? "I mean... its not how I like to joke, but let's see it."
Are you using a disability as the focus of a joke? "That's kinda berkeleyed up."
Are you mocking someone with a disability, using another disability as the focus of a joke? "What caused you to not grow up how Mr. Rogers hoped you would?"

No. She's a child.
The adults in her life made her a public figure.
Plus, Alec Baldwin gun safety memes make fun of choices that Alec Baldwin made - the choice to assume the weapon was safe.
That particular Greta Thunberg meme makes fun of her (potential) genetic / developmental issues, which are not choices she made.
There is a difference.
In reply to Appleseed :
And of course, you are welcome to do so. That is your choice (see what I did there?).
But that assumption is not ours to make.

I am diabetic and deaf. I didn'tchoose ti be either. I find diabetic and deaf memes funny.
I am heartened that you've been able to overcome the social stigma that are normally attached to diabetes or hearing loss.
For what it's worth, I've started to post memes that I thought were hilarious, but I stopped myself because I knew someone would look into it too far, or not enough, or otherwise take in a way that I wasn't intending, which was humorous. I've seen tasteless memes. I either move on to something better, or think that the poster is a peice of crap...and move on to something better. Anyway, monologue over.

Photo was taken in 1997, maybe 1998. The clearcoat isn't peeled off and the gap between the bed and cab is even, so the frame hasn't cracked yet.

Yeah, but what does clear coat and frames have to do with running? Running is running.

She's 20, not a child.
Still not cool to make fun of a disability, diagnosed or otherwise.

Bragging that a 1 or 2 year old truck still runs is not very impressive. Unless you have a Dodge ecodiesel.

Yeah. I keep forgetting about the forward progression of time and think of her as a 14 year old.
